Mr. Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources is a career civil servant. Born on October 08, 1955. He acquired his studies in Science. After doing his Master in Psychology from Government College, Lahore in 1978 (1st Class), he joined civil service of Pakistan in District Management Group in the Year 1980 (8th CTP).
He has a vast experience of Public Administration in the Provinces of Sindh, Punjab and Federal Government. He has served as Assistant Commissioner Larkana, Jakobabad and Liaquatabad, Karachi (1981-86). He was Deputy Commissioner Thatta (1988-89), Karachi Central (1989-90) and Nawabshah (1990-93). He was transferred to Punjab in 1993 and served as Additional Secretary Home, (1994 – 96), Director Labour (1996 – 98), Registrar Cooperatives Punjab (1998 – 2002), DCO Multan (2003 – 05), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education (2005 – 2006), Director General National Institute of Public Administration, Lahore (2007 September, 2008), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources (2008 to November, 10), Federal Secretary, Ministry of Privatisation (November, 2010 to April, 2011).
He has acquired training at Civil Services Academy, Harvard University, USA, University of Dundee U.K., University of Mcgill, Canada, Civil Service College Singapore, Administrative Staff College, Lahore and National Defence University, Islamabad.
Being Federal Secretary Petroleum & Natural resources he is looking after the work relating to upstream and downstream oil gas and mineral sectors. LPG, CNG and import of LNG is also under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources as well as Iran-Pakistan and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas imports projects.
